Team-Building / Motivation

Instilling teamwork

Do you want to improve productivity, communication, or foster a sense of togetherness with your teams?

Not important, you say? It’s important if you want to add to your bottom line!

Teamwork fosters creativity and innovation, blends complementary strengths, improves morale, and provides greater flexibility in the workplace.

Benefits of team-building

Team-building improves morale, builds trust, provides greater flexibility for the organization, and fosters creativity and innovation.

Bottom line, it improves the bottom line!

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

~Andrew Carnegie

Strong relationships and pride in workmanship

In workplaces where teamwork isn’t consistent, establishing groups helps build stronger relationships between employees and lets individuals learn to work through a disagreement.

Establishing teams creates an environment where workers continue to take pride in independent accomplishments, while also celebrating the contributions of coworkers.

Does team-building need to be an elaborate and time-consuming event?

Not at all! While teams of all sizes can benefit from all-day, offsite retreats, team-building can take place for an hour or two at your office location. It also can be done in-person or via remote video teleconferencing.

If you want to work on one area specifically with a team, it is often better to have periodic one-hour sessions over a specified time period to help strengthen the material.

Over time, team members become more comfortable with each other and learn to work together more effectively.

Do you really need to motivate your employees?

The short answer is yes!

Motivated employees can lead to increased productivity and allow an organization to achieve higher levels of output.

Moreover, motivating employees needs to be done on a regular and consistent basis. Imagine having an employee who is not motivated at work!

There are absolutely benefits to motivating employees.

Motivation increases employee commitment, improves employee satisfaction, enhances ongoing employee development, and improves employee efficiency.

But how do I motivate my employees, you ask?

There are many ways to motivate employees, but one of the best ways is just to ask!

When it comes to motivating employees, company executives often make the assumption that one size fits all.

I’ve heard time and time again that throwing money at employees will make them happy. While that may be true for some employees, it does not always work for all employees.

In today’s diverse working environment, especially with the inclusion of Millennials and Gen Z in the workplace, motivation often takes different forms.

Let’s work together to build teams in your workplace.

I can help you assess what motivates your multi-generational working environment. More importantly, I can help you devise a plan to implement those motivational techniques consistently.

Listen, I recognize that it’s very important for organizations to be profitable.

Research has shown that if your employees are engaged, motivated, and satisfied with their jobs, profits will increase!

I agree with the research, and I have seen it work. Richard Branson, for instance, famously stated, “Customers come second, while employees come first!”
